brought down (to earth)

How do you mourn something when you're unsure if it's even gone? How do you rebuild a person when you remove the most important part of who they are? What does it mean to be an artist? 

These are all things I have been thinking about, especially in relation to my art practice. Exploration into these lines of thought were prompted by the slow realisation that what once came naturally is now a process on par with pulling teeth. 

What better way to explore these ideas than through a medium I love, but have rarely worked in?
